I prefer shelves. At first... all I had was a table. Then my collection grew, and changed, and grew...

cool work stations guys, I wish I had a place on my house for specific RC use. Well.. meaby in the future... Another problem that i had is that when my collection grew.. It keeps getting harder and harder to keep al my rc`s in ready to run condition. Now my favorite is the LST so all my money go to it.

i have a table in my basement which has my ntc3 + tools, on the bottom shelf of that table my starter box, starter box battery, voltmeter and electrical plug...I have a shelf beside that with 3 bodies on the top shelf, 2 old engines, old foams/rubber tires, my partsbox with all kinds of goodies and my glow starter, starter box battery and RX pack chargers and a gallon of nitro. And under that i got boxes of parts i have bought and boxes of old engines and servo boxes and stuff, a binder with manuals, stickers and papers that i've accumulated.

This spring, my closet is getting gutted, and I am putting in a wooden table, a couple drawers, a shelf, and some pegboard, along with a light and a powerstrip.

It'll sure beat a folding chair and my floor as my storage space :p

I keep mine on a shelf. I carry my RC18T, battery charger, radio (yes, it fits) and tools in a case that used to be a Sony camcorders' home. It's a perfect fit.

My RC space is horrible. It's just a uhh....hmm...20" space between a stand and my reptile tank. Horrible indeed. It gets the job done though. :) I can get more space if I turn the turantula tank sideways, but it doesn't look great that way.

Turantula doesn't really get use to handling. She flinches if you blow on her, sprinkle water, or surprise her. So far she never tried to attack me or go in defence mode. Another reason why I got her. My leopard is really peaceful. He doesn't seem to mind being picked up. BRB gonna edit my rc work space pics.

Note the "Losi comments here -> " on the next drawer down. Mark and I used to have a bit of a rivalry going on, that is the RC grafitti dresser. It all ended one day when he insisted in a challenge in the STREET in front of his house. He tried to pass me waaaaay outside and packed his XX under the tire of a parked car. Both shock towers, snapped chassis (stiffazel my ass) and his Losi's RIP'ed henceforth. :D

Only if you're looking for AE truck or GT parts, that's all that's there, really. In the pic with the paints, the 3 drawers to the right are all GT parts in plastic containers.

All this stuff has just collected over the years, most of it wouldn't sell for much on ebay, it would be more trouble than it's worth. I will probably be getting rid of a lot of the crapola stuff, I'm sure no one wants it, but the AE stuff stays.

Thanks...this pic is actually about a year old. Transmitters are about the same count but tires  And the # of vehicles has topped at 25 so far. My best are two Revos and two 4.6 Savages. I really want to sell down some of the others but it's hard to say what should go. It's an addiction...

I've been in this for about seven years and although I don't count I'm sure there's enough for a decent 1:1 scale car out there :D

This thread is about how to store stuff though and as you see in the pics a nice wide shelf from Sam's Club and a workbench from Lowe's holds most. The planes and dragster are on standards and shelving brackets. Once the workshop is done there will be more pegboard and cabinets. I covered the tops of the shelves and workbench with clear contact paper (actually plastic) to prevent the nitro goo from damaging the particle board. Of course parts are on the pegboard and in pit boxes.

Here's my storage cabinet. It's 13 feet long. (it was not fun to hang by myself!) I broke the switch off my dust collector in the process. LOL It's made out of used 3/4" ply that my place of employment was getting rid of. Door frames are pine with plexi-glass in them.

I also do quite a bit of woodworking in my shop, so each vehicle is sealed in it's own box, behind glass. There is weather stripping around the edges of each door, to help keep the dust out.

Take a look:

Love that Monster Beetle!

I found a shoe rack works well for a lot of the vehicles. But some still sit on shelves. And the other stuff like parts and radios, well, haven't figured anything out yet.
