View Full Version : Share your current projects
Thought I would share my latest project. I found a Jetta body at my LHS, and since I drive a Jetta I couldn't resist. So once I had the body, I HAD to get rims. So this is where I'm at now. I plan on painting the car with spaz stix color change paint, and doing a lot of detail work. Sort of a concourse body, I just probably wont race it. Enjoy!

did you paint a female body part on your bench? Look at where the receiver is and look straight down on the bench............
HA.... you know after I did that I thought it kinda looked like "a certain body part". I tried turning it into a face... see the tounge. Anyways its not boobs...

Mine's going to be a while before it's done. I'm going to stretch the chassis, the Camaro is a little longer than the Lunchbox van body. It looks OK on there, but I'm going to stretch it about 1" anyway.
FESTER: I got the body here: http://toys.search.ebay.com/1-12_Automotive_W0QQcatrefZC12QQcoactionZcompareQQco entrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfcdZ1QQfclZ3QQfromZ R10QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQfstypeZ1QQftidZ1QQsacatZ2580Q QsatitleZ1Q3a12

This is my never ending ongoing project. Its a tamiya TLT-1(originaly 1/18th crawler) It was stretched using traxxas tmaxx links. Removed the cantiliver suspension and replaced that with traxxas big bore shocks connected to the axles. Used some HPI cups and HPI rush dog bones as drive shafts. It was widened using tamiya TG10 axles, and TL01 wide hex's. Traxxas wheels, Pro masher2000's tires. Custom made aluminum battery holder.
But I am constantly changing things on it to get the best articulation and other little odds and ends.

I have done color change ghost flames on black that came out very cool, but never tried the reverse. not sure how that would work out, I don't think the black would actually ghost out.
you can see the color change flames here

If your wheelbase is under 12" it may be to big. My WB is 12" exactly and it fits perfectly.

The boat is killer, one thing I have always wondered. If you are running it in a lake ect. and the motor dies doesnt it suck to have to take a swim?

Thanks, the LRW is my baby. Its mint, I also have a new body with decals still in the package. This LRW is a special edition that was actually signed and a special mod motor was included with Bills Mavericks autograph. It shipped from Bills website and is #56 out of 100. It was a special promotion done between Bill and Bolink. I saw # 80 go for $450.00 on ebay about 4 years ago.
