For my first RC, I was thinking of building the STR-4, because it's cheap and there's no snapping and slipping belts

But what I'm not sure about it what it comes with, does it just need the clear body painted and a 2 channel radio system? From what I've seen, the STR-4 kit (the basic one) comes pretty much all assembled, with an MSC and a RS-540 motor, it just needs a servo, reseiver and tramsmitter. The website says nothing on this and my LHS hasn't even heard about the STR-4, so, can anyone help me? I know, I'm a real n00b, but plz help.

I've never heard of the STR-4 either. If you are looking for a cheap kit to build look at some of the Tamiya models. If you want to do any racing, I would check out the more sophicated racing sedans such as the Associated TC4, Losi JRX-S, XRAY FK05, XRAY T2, Tamiya 415, Corally RDX, etc.

MRC/Academy STR-4, availible in RTR, kit and Pro.

If I had the money I would of bought the nice TC4 I saw at my LHS, but, since I don't, I'm getting the STR-4, straight from the company. As I can see, cheaper then any tamiya kit I've seen.
Oh and BTW the STR-4 It supposed to be quite simalar to the TC3 (I know it had torque steer) so it should fair at least last in my clubs c-main.
