If anybody remebers this speed controller please help. I am just getting back into rc racing after about a 7-8 year lapse. I have a B3 an MVP motor and an OLD Magnum sport controller and receiver system. I figured I would buy a new speed controller to replace the T-4...I bought a Streak sc and it sux compared to the T-4 as far as speed and quick steering-with only one problem with the T-4-no brakes.

Now my question is does anybody here remember or know how to find out how to hook up the braking mechanizim in this? There are those 2 little red wires that come out of it and I could swear they had something to do with it but I don't know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I am looking at an old ad for the Novak T4, July 1989 Car Action, and it says it has brakes, and overload protection among other things. Most likely, the mosfets for the brakes burnt out, I have two older ESCs that have the same problem. The ad says the two red wires are bypass wires, so when you use 4 cells, the other electronics still get enough voltage to operate correctly. Hope this helps.
