I have never rebuilt a revo but have had experience changing a few parts here and there on some customers Revo's that they bring in.
I would reccomend just going at it and tearing it down. The best way to find out how to change the driveshafts are to do it yourself and you will learn alot! They are pretty far in there and will take some time and work to get out, but once you take the time to learn to do it you'll be fine! Good luck!

I'm not 100% sure but since you can't shorten or lengthen the cvds like the stock sliders, i think the best way is to remove the transmission, install each cvd to the diffs and then lower the transmission and connect it to the cvds.
hope this helps
