hey guys, when you do race and lets say that you win. what happens as far as awards or points or somethin?

It varies from place to place. Some tracks won't have any kind of awards, its just for the bragging rights, while others have a small cash payout to the winners(one I know of will hold out $1 per car in the class & split that up among the winner & maybe 2nd & 3rd place, depending on how many race that class that day), whilke still others may have little stickers to give each "A" main winner & also have point seasons that work much like larger scale racing, & give out trophies to the top few places in points..... :)

like Grizz mentioned.... R/C racing tends to be much different than most other competitive sports.....

80% (roughly) of the races you don't get anything.....

16% you get maybe a gift certificate to the hobby shop, or a small sticker or dash plaque.....

the other 4% are considered "Trophy Races"..... these are typically the biggest race at your track that season, regionals, a state race, or nationals....

really, the entry fees are low enough at most races that no award is possible, so don't expect to pack home much brass until you start hitting the bigger races with the better racers....

The best way to find out is to go to your local track and ask. My track has a summer points series, with awards given out at the end of the season.

We have a few things that go on.
Novice races, get trophies for placing, they do trophies down to C-Mains, after that, they get ribbons.

Stock and Modified races, that place, in the A or B, get gift certificates to the on site hobby shop.

Also, we do a Quarter Points series, where we have 4 quarters(duh) and whoever gets the most points, by attending and racing, and placing, will get a certain amount of "points", the person with the most points at the end of the quarter gets their name on a plaque, in their class, that is displayed on the Driver's Stand.
