I'm thinking about getting my son an electric tourer and the OB4 International RTR seems like a nice kit for a young beginner. However, I can't find any info on what motor it comes with and the limits of the ESC. Anybody know?

I was VERY interested in this car also. There was a good write up on it in last months RC Car Action. It's an awesome deal for what you get. I can't find one in the San Diego area though. That means mail order is out of the question also because I don't want to have to order every little thing I need. I'm going to get my second choice tomorrow. An Associated TC3 Team car. I've pretty much decided that for me shaft drive rather than belt drive is the way to go anyway. I don't mind spending a little more for the better equipped OB4 but it's just too hard to find. The Ofna web site sucks too. No info on this car. It's a shame 'cause I really wanted this thing.

Thanks, read read the review. I don't know how I missed it last month, but oh well. So now I know the 540 motor isn't much to talk about, but it still doesn't give any info on the M-Sonic ESC. Anyone know where to get info on those speed controls?

I had a Ofna Z 10, and it was a nice car, the problem was that none of the LHS carried any parts for it, and the people at Ofna don't know what customer service is. You get your head bit off if you call to order parts.

Check out the Traxxas 4tec or the TC3 rtr. both come with hotter motors than the OB4 and parts are generally easier to find. Both are also tough cars that are very competitive if you decided to start racing.
