TC3Guy - I was out at the Velodrome last weekend watching them race. From what I heard and saw, the setups weren't much different than the carpet track racing. Batteries were in half way up the car and all the way in. If you go to hobbytown to one of the oval races, check with Kevin Minnis. He was out racing at the velodrome. He might be able to give ya some tips. The only thing keeping me from racing out there is the cost of the tires. I don't want to sink $100 in 4 tires. If you find any at a reasonable price let me know.

Hello, I was also watching them race oval at the veledrome. I will have me a car ready for the 5/20 race. The setup is basically what you would run on carpet. Run your batteries as close to the middle of the car as you can get ZERO tweak, and castor is your best friend. If you run Sportsman or Busch Grand National, I believe you can get a set of spec radials for about $50 and they will last practiclally forever, providing that you don't break one. I hope this helps.

Hey, I raced pan cars, just need to find some tires, no oval down here, as far as I know, but we do have an indoor carpet track.

Hello all,
I don't race, yet, because the track is still in the planning stages. I'll probably be retired by the time it is done but what the heck, I can dream of racing can't I. ;)
As many know I have a RC10L3O and a RC10LS that I run around parking lots and basketball courts.
