Any suggestions where to get some inexpensive 2400 or 3000 batteries? And when it has the run time, is that for a stock or mod motor?

are you the terror from the EH and RCA boards?? just wondering..

anywhos... for a good price on decent cells, check out integy batteries.. they get their numbers differently then most other matchers (which makes them look like they are much higher voltage), but they are good cells, and integy always sells them at a good price...

peace out... :)

btw- you would get along just fine with 2000 mah cells for stock class racing...

Here you go, the magic answer:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewListedItems&userid=wthaw@aol.com&completed=0&sort=0&since=-1

I have bought from this guy twice. The CP-2400SCR cells he is selling are KILLER budget cells. I mean 3 bucks a cell ? I have bought about 150 cells from this guy (for me and my friends). They are NOT the same as the cells you normally see. They have a slightly higher internal resistance and slightly lower voltage. I have been running them now all summer and they are lasting quite well. For bashing or practice, these cannot be beat. I mean $18 for a pack ?! Yeah baby !

Plus, he has some 3000's on there as well, but I have not tried those.

high IR and low voltage are two things you can find at your local Radio Shack store (if you plan on racing, you don't want either.. )... why buy worthless cells from Ebay when you can buy them right down the street for even less?? LOL...

peace out... :)

First, this is the only forum I'm on, so I'm not the other terror. Second, thanks for the responses. Jeepinator, I've read many of your postings and you are extremely knowledgable. I just started in the hobby about 3 months ago. I just raced for the first time last week. There were only 5 guys that showed up, so we all got put into 1 class, so I was racing with stock a pro stock (I am a definite novice). I actually got 3rd in the main. Obviously, I race a T3, but continue to need advice about batteries and chargers and such. I just bought the MRC Super Brain 959 at my LHS for $50, seems to be pretty good. But, any other advice you guys can give me , I would appreciate. Thanks. :D

$18 bucks a pack are pretty good. You can't really beat that for 3000's. RadioShack has some horrible Cells would not get it from there.

Another place where you can get cells are PromatchRacing.com. A little more expensive, but pretty much the best cells I've used. :) Low IR High Voltage.

Well, that is a great sight but their CP-2400SCR cells are 50 cents more a piece than the link I provided. But, they have them every day at that price. The guy who I linked to sells those CP-2400SCR's about once every 3 weeks though.
They really are pretty good cells, regardless of what howie says. I have actually run them. 90% of you would not know they weren't RC2400's.
Methinks I will borrow a matcher and test 20 or so cells just to see.
Actually, someone already did:

http://www.magtechinc.net/subc.htm
http://flydma.com/batteries/specs/cp2400scr.pdf

Looks like they are pretty darn close to me!
Let's see ... 40 bucks vs. 18 bucks ... hmmm ... methinks I can live with a bit of a performance hit (and avoid paying the Trinity tax) for a 2-for-1 deal.

About the same. Maybe a teensy bit less.
They are PERFECT for bashing in an E-MAXX.

Integy or Promatch. ESP also has some good deals.
