Max amps has a new Li-Po battery that is 7.4v and is 12 thousand Mah! http://maxamps.com/index.html?lmd=38701.874433
A bit pricey ($250), but if any one wants an hour of run time a charge well....

   JEEZ with that much run time I'd be worried about the motor lasting as long as the pack!!! Because brushless motors tend to overheat, that could be an issue, and with a brushed motor you'd probably grind the brushes flat before the pack was even done.

Can you imagine? An hour long practice on the drivers stand. Sounds good to me!

only for $250! I wish they weren't so expensive. But yah an hour would be nice! But the funny thing is that I asked for the 8000 mah for x-mas and now its too late.

A brushless motor can run nearly indefinately if the setup is right. Just like a nitro. Probably even longer. The heat doesn't keep climbing, it gets to a point and levels off.
I think this is the next step. The future of electric racing is HERE!!!DON'T GET LEFT BEHIND!!! :p
I'm starting to sound like Craps! LOL.

I really wouldn't be surprised if we saw both nitro's and electrics running hour mains and 15 min quals in the future. I don't think we are quite there yet, but maybe within the next several years we'll start to see longer race lengths for electric cars.
