Hey Guys,
After 6 years, I'm still having fun fixing up my Fighter 550. I've replaced all the stock hardware, reinforced the hull, installed some homemade watercooling, upgraded the radio..... But, I am sick of maintaning stock motors.
I saw in RCBM that the Kontronicks Twist 37 and Jazz esc brushless setup worked well in an Aquacraft Outboard Bassboat. I am wondering if they would work equally well in my direct drive fighter. Maintenence would be unquestionably less, but would I see much of a speed benefit? Also, does the Kontronics unit bolt right into a 550's motor mount? Are the Motor Diameters the same?
