do i have to let my batteries cool down before charging them? and what are the consequences.....thanks....

Yes in some cases you have to cool your batteries... well yes you do :D even after a charge your batties are warm or in some cases slightly hot... the chemicals in the NiCds are charged so cooling them down will make them "calm" So it's best to have a few packs with you so you can charge 'n play while one is charging and the other is cooling :cool:

We keep a fan on our used packs to help them cool faster. Some people put them in zip lock bags and then drop them into their coolers.

Don't forget to let your charger cool too. Some chargers will false peak if they get too hot.

It is a very good idea to let the battery cool down after you have ran them.

But don't let them cool down too much between charging them and running them. That warm just-charged battery will give you more punch.
