Mine goes about as fast as my P2K. I got it yesterday and drove it after I got it. It was VERY slow! And when I put my 4 cell battey on the motor it will move, BUT when its hooked up to the speed control It wont move, I will just make the beep noise! I am REALLY mad at a 50$ 11 turn motor that will wear out WAY faster than a stock, and ISN'T ANY FASTER!!!!!

Have you geared it right? My guess is yes, check to see if the brushes are hung up in the hoods, or maybe you have a super fast stocker :D What are the specs of your motor? Did you take it apart? Is it shimmed too tight? The shims would be my best guess

Well, if your D4 is slower than your P2K than you have a problem. My guess is that you have it way overgeared and it can't gat up to speed. If you havent regeared it for the D4 than you should take about 5 teeth off the pinion gear as a starting point. You can try diferent combinations. See what works best. Or your ESC isn't adjusted right. Hope this helps.

I know that he knows how to gear his truck, but he could go a little higher than usual, because he got an 11x2, which is for an open track.

I KNOW I geared it correctly. I think that Adam Drake and Travis Amezuca would know gearing for a 11x2. :D LOL. I might have forgotten to mention The FIRST time I used it, Never opened the can or touched a thing excepet to solder some Skotie diodes, capasitors, and deans plugs. My gearing is 87/18 (the Pro's suggestions) and 88/18 (For the tighter track). There's no specs cause it's a Warelock motor. BUT its a D4. Same can, head, magnets, brushes, and armature.

Wow, I use 18/86 with my P2K. I'd say you should still try some smaller pinions. Just trying them can't hurt.

I have tryed a 15 tooth pinon. 88/18 isn't so bad though.

WOW! Now I have one wierd (fast) motor. Every thing was very simple to jump! FAST! I guest I can say this tread is closed! One more thing though. Im I over gearing it at 18/87? I think I'll ask Adam drake on the team losi web site.

After looking at it I found nothing  then I decied to unplug the motor then give it gas so the green LED would come on then plug the motor in :D It worked. So I pluged it in all the way! It didn't work  . so I left about a 1/5 of an inch and its SUPER fast now!

What plugs are you using? Here's a tip: hardwire your motor to your ESC.

Deans. UUHHH. To bad I have some stick packs eh'. Oh, and the wires are to short.

Stick packs are not a factor, you only need to hardwire the connection from the motor to the ESC.

I would think it would be worth it to extend the wires to make sure you don't repeat the problem, but that is your decision. You can solder additional wire the ends and shrinkwrap.
