i was at the track today and i blew the wind on my 13x2. i was told that you could re wind it and that it would still work.if this is true could you please tell me how to rewind my motor.

i would say if its new you should still have it under warranty. call the company that makes the arm, (it might be tough if its trinity) and they should be able to fix it/replace/it, the brushes and retune the motor! :)

the motor is about 1 year old

you might be better off just buying a new arm if the magnets still look ok...as well as the rest of the inside of the motor.
if youre not sure, just get a new motor.

From what I hear, rewinding is not a good idea. You can throw the balancing off and screw everything up. However, if you have the tools to balance, and you know how, then go ahead.
