Help with braking. Mostly with a mod motor.

I fu go on www.novak.com (http://www.novak.com) u can look up the full definition. I just got an Atom ESC from Novak for X-mas and it requires the shottky diodes.

Hehehe, try www.teamnovak.com. (http://www.teamnovak.com.) http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Here's part of what Novak says..

"Schottky Diode: (pronounced Shot-Key) A special type of high-speed diode that has a very low forward-voltage drop. This means it offers very little resistance to the flow of current in one direction. The average Schottky diode forward-voltage drop is typically 0.30 to 0.45 volts under full load."

GO here.... www.teamnovak.com/How_to/schottky/Schtky.htm (http://www.teamnovak.com/How_to/schottky/Schtky.htm)

it says on there that more then 1 diode will make preformance betterr on some esc/motor combonations. How many is too many? and should i get one (or a few?)

I have a 13t double speedgems (the pink one) and a novak fussion, and it will go on my new b3 (when it comes in the mail... hopefully tomaroow.)

From what Ive heard you can only use shotkie diodes with a forward only speed control. They will damage a reversing speed control.

Yeah don't use them on reverse ECS's.
