View Full Version : USA-1
Hello, i am lookin at buying a real monster truck. I'm thinkin about a Kyosho USA-1, but i dont know if i can run twin packs, twin motors, twin esc's, but 1 receiver. Im lookin at the Traxxas XL-1 or a Duratrax, im not lookin to put mods in, but just bigger motors like the Reedy Maxx motors. I desperately need to know this.
P.S, will this setup work on the Clod Buster?
P.S.S. If anyone has a USA-1 t osell, i would gladly make an offer.

The USA-1 is only made for ond battery. You'd probably have to get the Traxxas ESC from teh T-Maxx to let it get 2 batteries. Same idea with the clod.

Go with the E-Maxx, not the T-maxx (gas)previously mentioned. I've seen these things run with the stock motors and they're pretty awesome. I know you said USA-1, but at least look at the E-maxx.

Yes, get the E-Maxx, because this way, you will be like everyone else.

I thoght about using a twin ESC setup in my Clod but never got aroung to doing it. If your aking if it's possable to do, it is. The only thing your going to need is a Y harnmess for the two ESC's. This would be quite a bit easier to do on a stock chassis Clod there is enugh room in the chassis for the exrta battery. Also for the cost of two ESC's you could get one good ESC for running two motors and tweve cells (all you have to is wire the two packs in parallel).

stop the "get an emaxx" bit. Primus is asking about the USA 1, not the emaxx. I think it is very rude of you to come into his post and push the emaxx. Ive noticed this alot on this and other BBs. Some one askeds a question about a clod, jugernaut or usa 1 and at least one peson will come in and say "get an emaxx" Its got to stop. There are other trucks that are better in certain areas.
Its not only the emaxx though, I cant stand anyone trying to push their opinions on other people. I for one will not buy an emaxx because I dont want to become someone like that and also Im not into things with a big following, Im different.
combones and B3 Boy, this is directed to you and others as well, please keep in mind it is only my opinion and I realize not all emaxx owners are like this.

I have to agree with Strange Desires.
This is really sickening that these guys have to say this rhetoric everytime some guy asks about anything they don't like.
Answer the question or ad to the conversation OR stay quiet.
Did he say "help me buy a truck" or "please criticize my decisions and all other vehicles except for the tired old Tmaxx and Emaxx".
I'm ODing on the Maxxes, they need to give it a rest or people are going to get sick of them really quick.
It will get too much exposure and have a backlash.

Yes, all other monster trucks stink. The clod buster is probably one of the greatest RC vehicles ever. Very influential and incredibly upgradable. Please think before you make such a near-sighted comment.
Thank u every1 for standing up against the E-maxx charge. I am also sick of people pushing the E-maxx, i wish people would just answer the question at hand.

Easy guys!! He said he was looking at buying a real monster truck, and I mentioned the E-Maxx. I don't own one nor do I want to. I get sick of seeing nothing but emaxx and tmaxx stuff in the mags as well, but I've seen them run, and compared to others, they are the most impressive. :p
