RPM Gear Cover For XXX/T

I bought a brand new Matt Francis XXXT the other day, then i bought an RPM yellow gear cover for it. One prob, WHY THE "HECK" DOES IT RUB THE SPUR GEAR!!! I almost wrecked a brand new gear! WHATS UP WITH THIS RPM!?

If you're using an 88 tooth spur, it will rub! The RPM covers are like 1/2mm too small. Just use the stock one, that one should be fine or get a smaller spur (I run with an 84 spur).

I got it and it also rubbed. I got a 84 tooth spur and also went down a tooth on the pinion.

First off, why would you buy a yellow gear cover with all that red on your car?

Two things could have happened: you either bought the wrong cover or it's a defect. You'll have to call RPM and explain to them what happened.

(I am assuming that the Matt Francis edition is the same as the regular XXXT, except for graphite parts and red stuff. If there were any substantial part changes, that may be why the gear cover hits the spur.)
