a question was brought up about the outlaw 2 binary with quad mags. I know they wern't legal when they first hit the market last year but don't know about now. our track is not a roar sanctioned track but they use roar as guide lines for most classes. i use monster and p2k2 but have afew other epic motors that are quad mags and wouldn't want to upset other racer's by their use. as for my input on these quad mag motors i don't see nor get any advantage in race times for the times i have used them. any input and arguments ether way i would like to foward to our club members.

The Epic quad magnet stock motors are still not legal, must tracks either use ROAR, NORRCA or ARCOR (mostly oval sanctioning rules) as a basis for track rules. The Epic ROAR Stock is legal, as it is a two magnet motor can that conforms to the stock motor rules.
The Epic legal stock produces more rpm than the Monster Stock2 so the norm is to gear the Epic 2 teeth lower, sometimes three from what you've found to be the ideal gearing for the Monster Stock 2 motor. The armatures are also different between the two, the lamentations are thicker on the MS2 armature while the lamenations on the Epic Roar Stock are thinner.
