Ok I just got a Fantom team edition GM3 Motor. I took it out a yesterday to break it in and test it out. I was running it up and down the road pretty slow to break it in a little. After about 2 min og that I pinned the throttle and it took off. I love this motor! I borught it in after about 2min of running up and down the road. It was really hot!! I could only hold my finger on it for about 3 sec! and that was only after 2 min of running. I am running it im my XXX with stock spur(cant remember#of teeth) and a 21 spur. I have an atom speed control. THis gearing worked fine for my P2K at my local track. Does this mean I have to go down to a 19 tooth for the GM3!! Please I need your help. I am going to practice on saturday. Thnaks

Yes, you're on the right track. You must gear the GM3 shorter(numerically higher) than you would any P2K for them to work well & to keep them from overheating(& possibly burning up). If a 21 worked with your P2K, then I would give the 19 tooth a try, but be prepared to go even smaller than that, if neccessary..... :)
