I have read that the Kyosho Half 8 won allot of races. I am wondering if there ever will be a world champ title and races for mini buggys and trucks.
We have many different designs of minis now. From the Half 8, to the RC18 buggy, to the Vindetta, and the Kyosho mini truggy, the RC18T, the Mini LST, MiniZilla and Mini T. So I wonder if just like the 1/10 and 1/8 scale buggys, truggys and trucks will they all be the same. Since some are 1/16 and some are 1/18 with different setups.

I don't know if there is or if there will be, but it sounds like a good idea. The only problem would be the cars would be more and more geared towards racing, then they would get more expensive, which would kinda of run the fun of minis.

I noticed that you mentioned the 18b and then the 18t. The 18t is the the 18mt and the 18b. they are all the same on the chasis and gearing. the only difference is the body and wheels. oh, and one has a spoiler! Its kinda dumb like that.

you listed alot of mini rc's but there isnt a whole lot of simularity between those to race. the t4 is simular to the xxx-t. those you can race. its hard to compare the 4wd 18t to the 2wd mini-t since that would put them in a different class. and you cant race the speedy 18t to the lackluster mini lst just becuase they are 4wd.... and the list goes on.

the mini hobby has allready gotten expensive and you can race them now with the available hop ups.

i think the guy from post #2 has it right though.... why ruin a good thing? mini's are supposed to be fun. i had a mini-t for awhile and raced the 18t. hated the 18t. went back to the mini-t. I then saw a good steering upgrade from FFRC and decided to give it one last try. I love the 18t now and sold the mini-t. i live in seattle so it rains alot. i use the 18t when i cant go out and run the jammin x1 crt with sirio monster race .27, the pcr with wasp .28, the revo with .23, the jato with sirio .18, the jato converted into a bl, the xxx-4 with the emaxx sized XL 4300... believe me... I dont want another racer!!!

Going by that logic, what about the RC10 and RC10T then? ;)

what about em? Associated will make one thing and make it very well. They will then copy that idea to death. No innovations. No new ideas. Just the same old thing over and over.

And when I say the same thing over and over, I mean "hey! lets come out with a truck!" so they do and its cool and then they slightly modify that truck into a buggy and then it goes from there.

then, when they need to improve, they build another chassis and then kill it to death in ths same sequence.

I like associated electrics. I just wish that what they put out did not resemble each other. Also, they have this feeling that noone would buy anything 4wd other than a 1/18th scale model. I dont get that. A 4wd B4 or T4 would be cool. But, according to them, there is not a market for it.

Now, for your comment, as you can see from the above and my comment, I was only stating that there is no difference between the 18t, 18b, and the 18mt other than someone is making alot of money off of the same chasis. So, when the guy made a list of 1/18th scale, why did he list AE's line when they are all the same.

Oh yes, I forgot about the fun factor. However just like back in the 80s, were RC cars were fun, it may happen to minis, but until then lets enjoy whats out there. But I am waiting for the new Tamtec Tamiya minis to arrive, but still gonna keep my RC18T though.
