I own the TC3, so I am a little biased. But I believe the MR4TC is belt driven. And my experience with belts so far hasn't been good. I don't run on the cleanest lots though and that has a lot to do with it. Tiny pebbles work their way into the teeth of the pulleys and causes havoc on the belts. With the shaft on the TC3, I haven't had any of these problems with the tranny. So there is one way to look at it. Hope this helps

go with the fastest toring car the tc3 i have it and love , boy is it quick and easy to build and the shaft drive makes it that much faster!

The Yok is a faster car all around the track.

The TC3 pulls up a chair, and PARKS in the middle of the corner.

The Yok is one of faster cars in the middle and exit of the turn. But is a little unstable on turn-in.

And don't start with all of the 'TC3 was the fastest car at the worlds' stuff. The top ten laptimes were all within a tenth of a second. I could have easily been any of four of five chassis to record the fastest lap.

And I am not biased. I have owned both of these cars, and currently run a Corally. Now THAT is a real chassis.

See ya...

Acually the tc3 shaves tenths out of the corners , it is fasterout the corners and on the straights, and if im not mistaking the tc3's did have the fastest laps at the worlds, even know hara did win. take it from someone who drive both cars and owns both cars. the tc3 will get you around the track faster then the yokomo, and let be realistic tenths of a second made the difference between first place and thrid place at the worlds. i hope you didnt expect ether car to be seconds faster then the other, remember those are the greatest drivers in the world raceing ever tenth isnt as small as you make it out to be! associated had the fastest laps at the worldsa and check there web site out. its also fastest electric toring car in the world at over 70 mph, trust me man ive done my homwork on both these cars and raced boths these cars, and simply the tc3 turned out better laps then the mr4tc and got me better finishes!

I never said the TC3 did not have the fastest lap, just that several cars recorded laps Very, Very close to those by the TC3. I said the TOP TEN fastest laps were ALL within a few tenths. The difference between the fastest laptime and second fastest(by a HPI Pro 2)was less than one hundredth of a second. I am not making a tenth of a second out to be small, but ten laptimes all within two tenths of a second IS VERY CLOSE!!

The number one problem with the TC3 is getting through the middle of the turn. Yes, it has stellar acceleration, but you have to wait for it to rotate around before you can accelerate. It is a great car, but it, like all has a flaw. The Yokomo's flaw is in the front door of the corner.

I currently own a Yok, TC3, Pro 2, IWC, and two Corally chassis. They are all terrific cars, but each has a flaw.

I'm glad the TC3 is so great for you. But there is a reason the Yokomo did so well at the worlds; it is a faster all-around chassis!!

I have a TC3 and if given the chance again I'd have gone with the Yok, I like shaft drive but I think the Yok is a better overall car.

well to reply to your post at that level of racing tenths of a secondmisnt as close as sport level racers, each TENTH makes a lot of difference, why do you think there cars are so tweaked out?, your making it out to seem that a a couple tenths isnt nothing[ WRONG] whydont you ask billy easton or brain kinwald and they'll tell you the same think, and as for the flaw of the associated, i have no such with my set up. my tc3 can beat any chassis on the track.

As with many people, I have both cars. My opinion goes with the Yokomo. The car just plain seems easier to drive around the track.

As for the belts... they can be a pain if you are racing on an unprepared, pebble ridden track, but the spur gear on the TC3 seemed to attract a bunch of pebbles too.

Both cars are proven to be competitive racing cars, so it all comes down to choice. In the right hands, with the correct driving style, either car is very competitive out of the box. My personal choice just happens to be the MR4-TC Worlds Edition
