I need to buy some new packs and I'm debating between going with 2000's or 2400's. Off-road racing mostly, but I'm considering going to TC later this summer which makes me lean towards the 2400's (I don't see much reason to go with 3000s right now), and I'm looking to buy between 10 and 15 packs in the near future so pricing does become a small concern in the end.

As far as a performance to price comaprison goes, whats everyones opinion?

Right now, the Stock Metal Hydrides are the ticket for any kind of racing. Good voltage, enough runtime for anything, and super low internal resistance.

You say you are buying 10-15 packs? Why so many? I race on a National level, two classes, with 6 packs total.

As for which to buy, just go with any reputable matcher, and get the best ones. Batteries last a long time if you take care of them, so spending an extra $15-20 now is well worth it in my opinion.

if you are buying 10 or more packs.... and will mainly be racing stock class.... i would buy the 2000's....

but if you will be racing any mod... i would pop the extra cash for the 2400's...

if you are a front runner in the A-mains... you may want to pop for a couple really good numbered stock metal 3000's for your mains... the stock metal ni-mh cells currently have the highest voltage i've ever seen... off-road it wouldn't be such a big deal.. but later, if you race on-road, that little bit of extra voltage may very well be the difference between 1st and 5th place...

and btw... i recommend B & T batteries.... great numbers, fantastic people, and at least 20% less in price than trinity...

peace out.... :)

B&T, wow, If I remember right I had packs of those when I raced in 92 and 93 racing dirt oval. The more I think about it though grabbing a couple of really good 3000s might not be such a bad idea for the on-road racing. Anywhere to buy those B&Ts on-line?

B & T is still up and kicking.... they have been around forever... and have always done a great job with their cells... (at a great price to boot)

they do have a web-site... but i'll have to look up the url... i'll try and post it tomorrow...
peace out.... :)
