I am currently running a Graupner Speed 480 Race motor in my Zig Zag Racer 2 with a Graupner U-Joint coupler, and experienced my first coupler loosening yesterday. Is there something I can put in the threads or in the shaft slots that will prevent loosening under high rpm usage? Thanks!

set screws to hold it onto the shafts, yes? two things I can think of; one) grind a flat on each shaft (end) and two) thread locker(lock tite, low to medium strength)

Which coupler did you use? I didnt think Graupner made a 1/8" to 2mm universal. If its the incorrect size you may have to much vibration to stop the screw from coming out.

Steven, I used the 3.2mm to 2mm and it worked since the Graupner 480's shaft is a hefty 3.2mm. ;) Thanks for the input guys! Will tackle this chore over the weekend ahead :)

Do you remember the part number to a 3.2(1/8th) to 2mm universal?
