Hey guys, I used to have on electric boat, but would like to get into nitro. I already have a radio, receiver, and servos, so I just need a kit. I think I have decided on the Kyosho Air Streak 500 GP; the review on this site convinced me. Price is my main concern - the $130 price tag was a contributing factor. Is this a good first nitro boat? Also, I cant seem to find it for $130, would it be worth $170? Also, could I run it in saltwater if I washed it off well afterwards?

Brad, I don't know anything about the boat but I do know a little about your saltwater issue. I live right by the ocean and the brackish marshes myself. Yes, you can run in saltwater but you'll have to pay extra special attention to rinsing and flushing everything with the garden hose at home when you're done.

Alright nice, my neighbor used to run his electric boat in saltwater without any visual effects on it but i didnt know if this would slowly kill the boat. Thank you for replying by the way, this forum is a little slow!

I've noticed that its gotten real slow lately as well :( . Intlwaters.com seems to move a little quicker. This one wasn't always this slow so I'm not exactly sure whats going on  . Enjoy your boat in the saltwater!
