Strapped a video camera to the Revo and recorded a few laps at the local track.

Now do it during a race! Way more fun than NASCAR footage! :)

Thanks. I mounted the camera as close to the center of the chassis as possible. Front to rear balance wasn't too bad. It did dramatically raise the CG so I had to really baby it in the corners to keep it off of its lid. As you could see in the video I took it slow the first couple of laps to get the feel of it.

awesome video.

What kind of camera did you use. Picture was not too shaky considering the conditions..

Would be neat to mount it toward the back so we are able to see the front suspension working.

If he used the camera during a race all he would be able to film is my savage out in front or that fantastic pass I did on him last week.

That's pretty sweet! I would like to see you zoom around that oval with the camera, constant high speed action (although that's what the nascar directors thought, but not quite).

I've been looking for one of those little wireless security cameras. I think those would be perfect to mount on to the truck without affecting the handling too much. I think I could even mount it to the rear wing so you could see the front wheels like choops said. I'm sure they are fixed focus which would prevent the thing from trying to focus on the sky during jumps but it might not have the depth of field required to get the front wheels in focus...

I used a Sony Handycam mini DV. I mounted it inside of a plastic container with foam for padding and just a small hole for the lens and hoped like heck I didn't spark off of one of those fence posts.

Good idea. Maybe I'll set it up and try it.
