HELP! should i buy this?

i just got into the hobby and have a TC3 racer kit so far. i have to decide whether or not to buy this radio from a friend of a friend. he is moving and needs to know asap if i want it. it was only used twice.

it is a futaba magnum sport 2pc radio system with two servos, crystals and receiver.

he is asking for $60. what do you all think? yes or no?

For that price, you are paying more than a new one. Check Tower they sell it for $44.99 (Brand new one plus 1 full year guarantee).

He may not be trying to pull a fast one, but he probably overestimated its value. I'm sure he paid more than $45 for it himself.... :)

He's definitely trying to rip you off. He may have paid $60 for it himself, but shouldn't be trying to get the full value for it (since it is used).
