i was looking at a cheap hitec lynx radio and was wondering if it is any good, it is an FM and looks pretty good.

Instead of a Hitec I would go with a Futaba. In my opinion they are better radios. The Hitec radios are the first choice of RTR manufacturers because they are cheap and eye catching. If you want a good quality radio get a Futaba.

There is nothing wrong with Hitec radio. It's just as good as others if not better.
I would recommend you to get a Hitec Lynx AM. It has all basic features you need.

I have a Hitec Radio and I love it. It can take a lot of punishment. It has some really neat features and all sorts of stuff. If u want a good beginner radio I waould go with Hitec Lynx FM

The Hitec Lynx is decent. I got one for my godkid and he likes it much more than the Traxxas TQ he had before. It has good balance and feel. The only thing I don't like is no throttle ATV.
