I'm thinking about going onroad racing and was wondering what a good choice for a touring car would be as far as quality, ease of maintenance and parts availability / parts price. Here are a few I'm looking at...
-Tamiya TA05 with TRF shock kit, CVDs and ball bearings for steering mechanism (Probably around $250 when all said and done..?)
-AE TC4 Team Car (probably upgraded with some Carbon parts, and perhaps stronger out drives...$260 to $285 with those hop ups???)
-Losi XXXS Graphite ($190..not sure if any upgrades are needed...perhaps a belt kit??)
-HPI RS4 PRO 4 (around $310 with body)
The RS4 costs a bit more than I want to spend, but depending on what upgrades are needed with the other choices to make them more durable and/or somewhat competitive, I may be approaching that $300 mark anyways.. Anything above that price, and I may just go and get a F201 tuned chassis kit instead....
Any suggestions???

i vote for the TC4. i just got the RTR version (my first onroad and first electric. been offroad nitro my whole time in the hobby) since i didn't know if i'd like it. the TC4 has tons of parts available and most of the TC3 parts fit as well and you can pick them up cheap.

Being a Tamiya guy I'd vote for the TA05, but parts can sometimes be difficult to find unless you're willing to do all your shopping online. Like SavageP said you're going to have the best parts support with the TC4-I've never been to an LHS where you COULDN'T get AE parts, and they're usually very reasonably priced.
If you're after something different, get the F201 :D
That thing is in a whole other league-you'll never get the other cars to handle anywhere near as well as it can, but again it's a Tamiya so parts are hard to find and pricey, and it requires a fairly smooth surface to perform at it's best.

I'll also vote for the TC4. Simple design, good support at most shops, and efficent drive train.

I'd vote for the TA-05. The mid-motor mount is sweet...and I'm just a sucker for Tamiya quality. However, out of all of the cars you list, I'd say the Pro 4 is the best. That's personal opinion of course...but I really do think it's the best, and like AE, HPI parts are available through every hobby shop known to man. That said, even though the Pro 4 is the better car for racing (it's just got more options, it was designed from the ground up for racing and only racing, the TA-05 and others are great cars...but they're compromises...the Pro 4 isn't)...I'd still buy the TA-05.

Nope, excellent chassis for anyone whether you're just starting out or you're a season veteran.
Just as good as the "luxury" version, the FK04 with equal tuning options. With that being said, you should add that to your list for consideration.
