Improved 6.0V/3.5A BEC. Strong and reliable to power all available servos, receivers and personal transponders.
That's the only thing that matters to me after they said that there was nothing wrong with their previous BECs.

So that left you scratching your head, too, huh?
"Uhh... yeah, I know we said there was nothing wrong with our previous BECs, and actually, they were the same as Novak's, but we just randomly decided to ramp it up anyway even though the last one was just fine. Oh, and our new one is the same as Novak's too!"

Tower has late November, Horizon has early December. LRP's U.S. site confirms early December.
If it's everything they say it is, it should be pretty sweet.

military-grade components
^^^ On website
I never knew the military was so into RC... :D
Anyways, looks pretty good, but I dont see anything wrong with the QC2... Looks like EVERYTHING has to be the best possible, which in a few months will be obsolete when another newer, "better" model comes out. It's a never ending story.... :(

By military-grade they just mean that it's using the best components available.
You can put military-grade screws on your car if you wanted to ;) .

Install a servo that runs @ 6V and you will ;) .

The QC3 should remedy a couple problems people had with the QC2 and it also future-proofs things a bit by being compatible with LiPo (and auto-detecting the batt type). While I admittedly do have an axe to grind with LRP because of how blatantly they passed the buck regarding the QC2's BEC issues, the QC3 doesn't look like a cash grab in my opinion. It updates a product line that was in need of updating.
I learned my lesson with the Sphere and I won't be buying this the day it hits the shelves, but if it goes relatively problem-free for the first six months or so, I might give it a whirl. I'll also wait for LRP to step up to the plate with regard to its customer service before buying another "Blue is Better" product. I'm willing to give them a second chance, but I'd like to see a little more effort from them first.
I'm curious to see how cool it runs with its new "ICE" cooling tech. Marketing-speak or innovation? We'll soon find out ;) .
