Peak is in on the act too! Same specs as the Orion pack, talk about it here: http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=208344

Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery packs are here. Long used in R/C airplanes, Peak Racing is proud to bring this emerging technology to the market with a battery specifically designed for use in R/C cars

A protective permanent case shields a state-of-the-art 2-cell, 4800mAh battery pack. LiPo battery packs feature more capacity and lower internal resistance, which translates into greater speeds and longer run times.

Oh... another one? Just a label different. Peak Performance always have the same products with Team Orion...

Ok... this one indicates the negative and positive wiring. Nice!

I still would like to know the charge/discharge numbers. What about this new lipo technology? More info please... :) Also the polarity is opposite of the Orion pack.

It's the same thing as the Team Orion one.

The Brushless Motor Forum has a lot of information floating around regarding Lipo's. Some folks in there are way ahead of the curve, so to speak.

SS Pede- Thank's for the info, but I meant on this specific pack. I am using Kokam's high discharge pack's at the moment and just curious what the Orion/Peak Battery #'s are. 10C, 15C, 20C?

New lipo technology; Someone mentioned in an earlier post that they were working on a new process of construction for the purpose of higher durability in these packs. I'm guessing higher durability=reducing the risk of fire?
Possibly even eliminating that risk?

like i said more info please...on these packs :)

I agree, more info is needed. Guess we'll have to wait for Orion/Peak to spit out some more info though.

It'd be interesting to see if Orion/Peak also releases a LVC device too so these packs can be used with ESCs not developed with Lipo cutoffs in mind.

Until we get some specs on this battery, we won't really know if it even needs a cutoff. I hate having to wait for the specs after they tease us with a picture!
