Is there a chassis that can take larger cells, like size D? Cause I was just at Radio Shack and they were selling 4500 mah size D cells.

Good golly miss molly!. I bet you can hack the E-Maxx or something to take those sizes, but how would you charge the cells? Are they NiCd or NiMH? I hear the ionic charger from novak might be able to charge fully 3000+mah batteries.

a 30 dollar dynamite peak charger could peak a 4500 mah pack.... LOL....

peak chargers keep charging until they detect the peak voltage (and roll-off afterwards) of the pack, there is no limit on the "mah" they put into the cells....

peace out... :)

In theory. But I've seen peak chargers peak early with NiMH 3000's before they became popular.

Why would you want to use the "D"s? I doubt very much that you would get much (if any) more voltage thruput than Sub C's, which are designed for fast thruput.

All you would do is add weight. LOT'S of weight.

But he'd double his run time. That's the allure of the bigger batteries.

Didn't Trinity make a 4500 mAH battery for the Tamiya Clodbuster?
