Heehee...I was getting impatient waiting for some motors I bought off here, so I went and bought a 9 turn double Speed Gems for my B2! The gearing chart doesn't go that low though...so I geared it at 21/81. Super faaaaaaaaaaaaast! The motor gets a bit warm, would that be okay for a 4 minute run?

try like a 21/78 very good speed andlast 4-min easy, and wont over heat engine or ESC

Do you know how fast it can go? I want to have the same set up for my B3. I hope it can go 45 MPH.

No Dyno's or Radar guns..I'll have to use that "how to calculate top speed" thread for some information on how to do it via camcorder :)

Well, 21/81 sounds like too much to me. Is the motor hot after running? Is the ESC hot? If either of them are hot, try dropping to a 17-19 tooth pinion (at least). If neither of them are hot, have fun with your amazing speed, but be careful because you could shorten the life of the motor by overgearing.

oouuch.... 21/81 is wayyyy too high for a 9 turn in a B-2...

17/81 is still a bit overgeared, but may work.... i ran a 9 turn in dirt oval last year in my B-3, and i geared 15/81 with decent results.... it was also a speed gem.... just fyi, it needed to have the comm turned and new brushes after every three packs or so.... hope you have a lathe handy.... LOL....

peace out.... :)
