View Full Version : Which Speed Controller Has… ?
My Tekin Rebel ESC (w/Reverse) has a feature where I can set the reverse delay from 0 to 4 seconds or turn the reverse off for racing. Is there another non-Tekin ESC that has the same feature? I need something that will handle stock and mild mods, but I want to stay away from Tekin if they are going out of business.
It’s too bad about Tekin. I like my Rebel.

Tekin??? Out of Business??? Their site is still up. What the heck? Why? I love my G12cIII. I'd take a Tekin over a Novak everyday of the week and twice on Sunday!!! Say it ain't so!!!
Anyways, I think Novaks have the reverse lock-out feature now. But since I think Novaks are crap, I could be wrong.

Try the Futaba MC330CR, it has reverse lockout and many other features. IMHO it's a really good ESC.
Can you set the delay on the Futaba as well as lock out the reverse?

I have the Futaba. I don't think you can set the reverse delay, but the way it works you may not need it. If you have reverse enabled, pressing the throttle trigger forward moves the car forward, going past neutral to the reverse area will apply the brake. If you go back to neutral then back to reverse you will travel in reverse. Does this make sense? You can't go directly to reverse from forward, you have to "double clutch it" so to speak.
