My Epic Shock 9TSngle is bending or making the brush springs really week. When the brushes wear down to half the brush spring become's week and the brush wires get hotter than normal?
Whats is the problem?
HELP!

I think the brushes would be worn out at that point, and would cause the motor to be more inefficient, thus causing the major gain in heat... I'm not 100% sure though.
I guess you should wait to see what some others say :)

The springs are generally too light the way most modified motors come. Starting with 13 turn motors the starting point can be a Purple on Positive, Red on Negative. The lower you go and amount of advanced timing used it can be 2 purples and adding more tension to positive side spring.

Thats what was on my motor is a purple and red spring.
Right now I took the silver spring's off the tc4 stock 15turn motor. I don't kmow how long they will last.
What is the strongest spring. Is there a list on the net showing the color and the strenght of the spring?

I would replace the brushes if they are more than half worn out. How often do you cutt your comm? The lightened springs(because the brush isn't as far back as it once was) and the worn comm both cause arcing. This in turn will cause your brushes and comm to wear faster and the motor will become more innefficient.

There could have been two causes for the wear, improper gearing and insufficent spring tension. Spring tension is lighter then heavier Blue, Green, Red, Purple normally. The lower you go in terms of turns the more rpms the motor produces, add more timing and rpms increase yet again. So what is happening inside is the commm is trying to throw the brush away from it's surface spring tension needs to be increased to counter act the force exerted on it for comm. The more parts are not aligned the worst it is, comm can be untrue, brush hood misaligned and armature not properly shimmed and aligned.
Like I said you start with a Purple/Red for 13turn motor with lesser turns it usually 2 Purple springs increasing the tension on positive. If spring is set at roughly a 3:40 mark (clock) you'd want it to be at 3:35 or add 1 degree increases to see what tension is best. The purpose of spring tension it to keep brush in contact with the comm surface. Now that brush has worn down to less than it normal length no spring is going to maintain contact - as boucing occurr arcing increases which produces heat- both in the brush and spring. Motor will get to a point that it will just stall - as though batteries were dumping. Right now motor probably doesn't run as great as it once did.
Get a new set of brushes (stick with low silver content) and a set of Purple springs. If you aren't sure of the condition of the comm get someone to check it out - a good cleaning and comm stick may suffice but from what you mentioned a light cut is probably needed.
