its a very nice car. but i suggest that for your first car you should get a 2wd and not a 4wd drive becouse 4wd is more difficult,

I have a different opinion than Ne, A 4wd is cool, it has better traction control than a 2wd vehicle. This will give you a chance to learn to drive, rather than worrying about spinning out or losing traction, and that type of thing.

I think it would be a fine beginner car. Fairly easy to assemble, durable, easy to drive and you can hop it up as you get better. However, on top of radio gear you'll need a motor and an electronic speed control. Most Tamiya models would be a good choice, too, most come with a motor and mechanical speed control.

I'd get a Tamiya TB01 for ease of build,durability and it's shaft drive 4wd so there are no belts to foul

i have the rs4 rally and i think it is a great beginner car.its fast durable and will probably take any punishment u give it to, and u can learn alot about 4wd rather than 2wd.

The HPI Rally is a great car. Fast, durable, fun, easy to work on.
U'll like 4wd MUCH better then 2wd. Power slides!!!!
