ok gang, i won a electric used boat off ebay but the guy misreprosented the boat.he said it was a tower hobbies deep vee 3 when i believe its the orignal boat tower made,its yellow n totaly different! what he showed for pics on ebay was nothing i got,he showed a pic of a durtrax 2400mhz battery n i got a cheap knock off 2400mhz battery.now the boat sis in good conditon but here is my other prob,now the boat is on its stand,when i pull the throttle,the thing spinning is very loud,i know its just a shaft n a prop but still it should be that loud,it shouldnt be that loud cuz its spiining in the ait with no restaince (not pushing water,etc)my friend said it didnt even sound right?i think the motor has rust in it or something!any ideas?it just doesnt sound right!

also the guy should take it back 4 misrepresenting the boat right?i am willing to work with him,he left me positive feedback n i dont wanna leave him negetive feedback!but i hope he takes it back, i wnat him to paypal me the money first n i will mail the boat back,i am not sending it back first,i ama fraid i will loose not only the boat plus my 80 bucks!i emailed him n yet to recieve a responce yet.

contact ebay. if what you got wasnt what was in the pictures, and it wasnt specified in the auction, thats fraud

Get him to at least pay for insured shipping so that you can ship the thing back to him knowing that it will get to him. If not, PayPal is your best friend when it comes to dealing with this nonsense.

Fester.... i just went thru this with someone on ebay too. Unfortunatrly, he may work with you, which is the good part.. however, he prolly wont refund your money until he gets the boat back first. Thats just how refunds are. You put your trust in him the first time to ship it, you must do it again. Just because he was incorrect in representation, maybe it's legit. Meaning he honestly doesn't know. Coulda been his sons, and he knows nothing about it, and going by what the kid says.... or any number of things. But anyway, I would think he would want you to ship first. Good luck to you.

And really, if it's the noise that's bothering you, those electric motors can make quite a racket when they're just spinning up in open air. If you close it up and put it in the water, it probly wouldn't make any noise you could hear, really.

Of course, that doesn't change that he had pictures of something completely different up...

its is not the vee 3 like he said,u notice its a little different, i got was a tower orignal boat,if he would have stated pics dont match up then i would have asked but u think with ebay...u get whats in the pics!so its fruad

looks like the same boat to me... usually they are available in different colors because of the different frequencies.... the battery, I don't know what he sent you because you didn't post a picture of it.... As far as noise goes, your friend has never heard an electric boat out of the water.. the shaft drives makes a lot of noise. just the nature of the setup... I have seen this boat run several times and its a good beginner boat.. worth the money IMO.

Fill your tub up with water and run it in there a bit. Make sure you hold onto it.
My customized radio shack boat makes a ton of noise out of the water. When it is in the water it quietens up alot. Also the coupler makes alot of noise since it isn't aligned perfectly.
Looks like the guy just pulled pics off the internet to represent the boat and battery.

ok ,the guy got back to me n what happend was-he is new to ebay n doesnt have a digital camera so he did "borrow" the pics from towers site.he said the battery pack is better than the 1 he showed...?????he said its turbo 3 defintly cause when he got it from tower hobbies he said the rtr kit was missing decals n stuff?????this is what i am told from him.anyway i didnt think of the whole bathtub idea?good idea!i am having the boat checked out by a co worker tommorrow who is into r/c planes n boats!he will let me know whats up with it,if its ok or not!-jinx i letcha know what happens!thanx!

well gang i tested the boat today at my job today n it floats good!it runs good too! i had the boat checked out by my friend n he said its fine.the loud noise is normal.he said everything seems to be ok!he said it wasnt bad for the price! i still have alot to learn about rc boats,i am taking it out saturday or sunday on a pond!i letcha know how i make out n i will try to get soem photos taken!i cant wait!
