if your looking to get a serious in it again. go ahead and get the TC3. I have one and I have to say its the best out on the market. The racer kit is a very good deal if you don't want to get in to serious.

Oh yeah, I run at Wings every Sat. in both stock sedan & 1/12 scale stock now(I bought a 12L3 a month ago). You can tell its me from my cars all being black, flourescent orange & white with OSU decals on them..... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have a TC3, and love the things performance, but.....Be prepared to replace parts! The thing eats parts constantly, it's very depressing :-(

So what are the opinions between these two cars? Is there any comparison? If there are any other models that someone highly recommends, I would like to hear about it also. Thanks........

Hmm, well the 4-Tec is definitely a beginner's car. It certainly a decent one to start out with, but you may find parts support lacking(especially hop-ups), & it just isn't as adjustable as the more popular cars. The TC3, IMHO, is about the best there is. It's easy to build, beautifully engineered, easy to work on, very low maintainence, & exceptionally competitive. You can adjust pretty much anything on it, & it'll handle about any kind of racing(or playing) that you want to do. As for other cars, there's also Yokomo's MR4-TC Pro, Schumacher's Axis2 Pro, HPI's RS4 Pro2, the XRAY T1(sold through Serpent), & a few others. All of them are race-worthy at the highest levels, but parts support may vary from place to place. I'd recommend you have a look at your local tracks & shops, & see which the drivers use & which is supported the most by the local shops(you'll always need a part from time to time), & then make your decision. It won't do you any good to buy a car if you break something & have to wait weeks for a replacement part to come in. Also, you might ask the local guys if you could test drive their cars for a lap or two, to see if one feels particulaly good to you, since everyone has different tastes. Just go for whichever one really strikes your fancy.......... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey Grizzbob, I may be going to Wings-n-Things saturday night for their races. I plan on checking out what everyone is running. I used to race 1/12 scale 10 years ago. Do you race? Thanks for the reply.
