Hi, I'm 12 years old and new in the hobby. I just got an old Tekin 210 BC charger.. can I use this to charge the transmitter NiMH batteries? How long do I charge them? Can I use the reflex on NiMH batteries? Thanks.

ALl tekins have linear as far as i know and i think the 210 bc is a very good charger. Im sure it can charge them. People have charged 6 cell Nimh with a cheap $30 charger. As long as your charger can charge 8 cells you should be fine.

I believe you need a special charger made for NiMh batteries, even receiver packs. They're much more fragile than old NiCd cells. I wouldn't risk it unless you have a lot of spare batteries.

I think that you're supposed to charge NiMh battieries with a linear charge, not a pulse or reflex charge, unless it's a NiMh specific charger and it spefically says so.

chargers that are meant to charge ni-mh's like novak milleniums and apex sigmas use pulse charging. You also need either zero - delta peak capabilities or a temp. probe to safely charge a ni-mh. i wouldnt trust a linear charger to charge a 3000 and have the battery last long.... or in my opinion at least

So I guess I'll just charge them. Thanks again.
