Is the yokomo MR-4BC 4WD electric buggy a good kit for a beginner?

its a great 2nd car but if you would like to buy your first rc kit it would be alot better to start out with 2wd instead of 4wd becouse of the difficultly level maybe you should start out witha rc10 t3 sport kit.its a great beginner kit , works very well and can be hoped up to race . and also is very easy to work on.

Yeah dont get a 4wd for your first car. Get a truck or a buggy thats 2wd.
