Great stuff. Easy Cleanup, colors are good, adheres well, best used with an airbrush, overspray cleans right up with alcohol, thin with water rather than paint thinner. If paint seeps underneath the masking it can be removed with alcohol.

I really can't think of any drawbacks to using it.

You do not get grief from the wife/girlfriend when you paint your car in the kitchen because there is no noxious aroma
from it.

The only draw back is limited color range. They aren't as saturated out of the bottle as the Pactra but you can work with them. I've gotten some great color mixes. The blue in these is a mix of about 6 colors. I cant imagine ever painting with non water based paints ever again.

They need to be airbrushed on. The only caveat is you need an aircompressor thaat can put out 40 to 70 psi.

Thats an awsomwly sweet paint job man! I think I;m going to do something like that on my gt. I'll have those jagged, black outlined flames like that. But i think the background will be silver.

HauntedMyst,
That is a very impressive body. Can you please give me a few painting pointers?

- Is the black between the blue and the pink hand painted?
- Did you use liquid mask, pre-cut mask or something else?
- I assume you pinstriped the windows, did the blue, removed the mask from the top half of the car, hand painted the black, used an air brush to fade the pink, orange and yellow, then added headlight and grill stickers. Is that correct? Did I miss anything?
- Do you hand paint little things like the front bumper or do you go through the trouble of masking?
- How did you do the post between the side windows?

Any other pointers you could give would be greatly appreciated.

GOOD JOB!

I have tried these paints on two bodies so far and found them really easy to use and the clean up is great. However DON'T try to spray on window tint fro a spray can as it will seep under the original paint and will show through no matter what you do to the base color. My two neat bodies are now just practice pieces. By the way, I brushed the paint on cuz I can't carry my airbrush while I'm travelling to do my job. I just had to be patient and brush on about 5 coats to get it looking good. By the time I was done the paint job looked like an airbrush job....

I forget, I just recived some, do I need to thin it for an irbrush. I know that if you had to it would be with water, but how much?

rc10 - depends on the effect you want. Usually to the thickness of milk.

You mean, like on a fade it should be a tad thinner. And on a solid color it should be a tad, ah, how should I say, less thinner. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
