try using spurs and pinions from the same companys. EX)Robinson Racing, Team Losi etc.

Since the MR-4TC is belt driven, it should not be a noisy car, I would check the gear mesh and motor bushings/bearings. If there is still noise, check for any binding, or rubbing on the belt.
