I went to the practice race day at the local (if you consider an hour away local) track. I got a new charger because my piranaha died on me, and while my battery was charging i had time to lube the bearings and clean my truck up so i could get it dirty. Once I got the fisrt batery charged, i started another, and started off to race my first pack. I did this several more times, waiting ofr batterys to cool, and charge, and waiting for motors to cool. By the end of the day I probably ran 6 or so batteries through my Traxxas Rustler that i had a Novak Super rooster and a speedgems 13t triple on for about half the time, and a novak fussion and a 13t double on for the other half. Buy the last battery i noticed that both the rear wheels wobbled a whole lot more than they should have been but i didnt think much of it... I just figured that the "uprights"<--??
were gotting worn. (the things that hold the earings) Anyway, i ran the last pack and then my mom was there and we went home. Then i cleaned the truck again and took the wheels off to look at the "uprights". The first wheel i took off didnt have to much of a wobble to it so i didnt think much of it. Theh bearings looked alright and the bearing holders looked alright.. The rest of the wheels all the bearings were toast.. All that was left of them were the metal rings that go around..

So my question is should i get the same kinda bearings again, or should i get the RPM thing that lets you use bigger bearings?

I just want sumthing so i dont have to buy new bearings every so often

Just get RPMs bearing carriers, the thing that holds the 2 bearings. That worked for me and havent broken ANYTHING yet on my elec. Rustler, welllllllll except the chassis, but thats a LONG story.

Let me guess- RED SEALS?!?!?!?!?!? I went through a ton of these on my elec pede. I just put bushings into the rear hubs. Get the larger bearing for the new hubs from AE, Boca, or Losi. These bearings last and last.

Whoa, that is sooooooo weird! The same thing happened to my Protrax Rustler! The left tire was "jiggly" and "loose" so I took it off to see what was up and that's EXACTLY what I found!! The bearing was like all disintegrated! I'm going to order the RPM upgrades on Saturday!

This problem has been notorious with older elec traxxas's, there is no way that you can keep the little 5x8's from melting, or whatever it is called, i have gone through the red seals, duratrax, and metal sealed ones, i have the RPM bearing carriers on it now, and traxxas has a way of fixing it also, using the hubs and parts from the nitro trucks, it is in the FAQ section on there web site, but RPM's way is cheaper. BTW RED SEALS ARE THE BOMB, i love mine
