my explorer2 esc shuts down!!!

why does it shut down so fast??? im running a modified maxtec motor, i dont know how many turns though...when i hook up my esc to the receiver, it stays on and works for like half a minute..and then shuts down...
but when i disconnect the esc from the receiver, the esc is fine...
ALSO, the servo doesn't work when its hooked up to the receiver..it looks like its the receiver's fault???

Does the ESC shut down while running? If so, it may be your motor because the Explorer II has a 15T limit.

Hey i have the Explorer II also and the limit is 15 turns... if you're using a hot mod maxtec... that's lower than 15t... then that's your prob... your esc shuts down cause it's over heating big time... :cool:
