Today I'm getting a new car I looked at the 4tec and the hpi rs4rally I'm leaning more toward the rally because I get to build it and it come with bearings I'll be using this to bash around while my nirto is resting between races but I also want to build a nice speedy car consider that I'm about 70% toward getting the rally, 2400 batteries, super roster esc, on the motor I think I wanna go mod since I wont be racing I looked at the retro series 12x2 & 13x2 I hear I should get a new pinion gear can I get some help from you guys any and everything will help, what are all the best hop ups.

Happy Birthday Underdog. Hop-ups on an electric are about the same as nitro for the obvious, bearings, oil shocks, heavy duty servo, good reciever and radio. ESC's depend on what motor you'll be running and what motor depends on what you want to do.

Ok this is the car I got HPI rs4 rally novak super roster, 2400 batterys, slipper clutch, retro series 12x2 motor, heat sink motor plate, Lexus GS 400 body, still looking at tires, 28t pinion but not to sure about the pinion the guy at the hobby store said thats the size I need then I went back they said I need a 18t pinion so I'm not sure and they it seam like they're not sure nither I'm still trying to understand how gearing work in eletric r/c I use this car to race sometimes but mostly parking lot driving and to drive while I'm not driving my nitro car so I think it should be fast so I wont get bored with the lost of speed from nitro.
