Hi all . I purchased a supernova competition charger recently. It is basically the same as a duratrax ice but will discharge at 20 amps. In the 4 step charge mode there is an option to have impulse charging for any of the first 3 steps. When in impulse mode it charges at 1.5 times the preset charge or 50% extra charge for half a second every 3 seconds. It says it supposed to reduce internal resistance but I am a bit weary of using it. Does anyone have experience with this and does it work? If not this what about the reflex charge option?? I am using mainly GP3300 and some powers 3300 cells.
Thanks Daniel :D

I tried it using the Integy 16x5v6 although it is a different name uses a ramp type charge - charge at the set amperage then switch to a lower setting. Packs that were charge at regular linear worked better (racing). The ramp charged packs tended to start out strong for about 1 minute then went soft as if pack was dying.

I have also used the impulse and noticed no difference at all (except it charged faster slightly)
