Well you can not do any matinence on your car and eventually it will stop working. Anyway it all depends on how well you want your car to run. You could rebuild the diff every week or every month. It mostly depends on what car you get, and if you break it alot. And on average(it depends on waht motor/battery combo you have) you'll have 8 minutes of run time. electric has less maintenence than gas.

Welcome aboard! There's really not a whole lot of maint on an electric, especially if you are not racing and trying to squeeze every ounce out of every run. Pull the wheels off after every few sessions and clean the bearings and wipe the axles. Don't put it away wet if you have metal CVD's or dogbones wipe them off after running in the rain. They will rust. Rebuild the tranny and diff once a month or so checking balls and bearings for wear. After a while you'll figure out which screws like to come loose on your particular car and you'll know to keep an eye on them. Also spray the motor out every few runs w/ motor cleaner. That's about it. Much easier than nitro!
