Wow that is one ugly 57! What did they do to the headlights, it looks like they trying to create air pockets.

I disagree! It looks more like the classic funny car with nice smooth lines. The headlights are easily fixed with a bit of clear or tinted lexan over the air pockets.

Do you have any idea the time it took to create that body? Considering the fact that there may be 5 ( at the most) purpose made pro mod bodies out there, I would have to say that this one is by far the most awesome. Alot of people modify monster truck bodies.

No I do not know how much time it took to create that body, I just do not get the headlights. A body should be streamline, promod or not and not have huge pockets to catch air. If they made this body like it should have been made it would work better and look better.

wow not even close besides the blower and the exaust on the side, i would say it is a pretty good reproduction. I was also trying to make a point with the head lights they have the Quote" Airpockets"

I believe the term is "frenched" ;)
Its a big thing with classic car customizers.

I think the 57 is awesome. It's an almost exact copy of a Tim Mcamis built pro mod.
If you want somerhing a little more aero, here is a '53 vette

FYI that so called unaerodynamic 57 Chevy went 67 MPH 2 weeks ago at the IMDRA Finals/RC Drags Pro Mod shootout.
The 57 is from www.randersonengineering.com and the '53 is from www.grandmotorsports.com
For all drag racing info, and drag racing links, go to www.rcdrags.com, it IS drag racing central.

Roy Anderson's electric funny went 98 mph at the worlds. If you are into fast cars go check out a drag race someday. You will be happy you went. I'm about to get a pro mod myself. There is a guy in Denver that makes some pretty cool bods too. They are called De Hellion. My buddy went 1.57 sec et at the Worlds. Would have liked to see that run. He was in top fuel nitro. I've seen plenty of 1.6 second runs but there are only two people that have gone into the 1.5's with the nitro cars. That old 100mph mark is still standing though. Getting closer every year. 98 mph in 1.5 seconds or so is pretty damn quick for anything. The only thing that will beat these cars is a real dragster. I think Team Walburn has a pro mod body now also. Not much to choose from but there are more pro mod bods than top fuel rail bodies. Only two to choose from walburn or gms.

The 98 MPH Roy ran was with his Extreme Rail, not the funny.

The Walbern body looks like a Cavalier body. It looks nice but a tad bit too high for my taste.

How fast did the funny go? That sure was a sweet body that Ogle painted for him. Congrats on the bracket win Paul.

I think the best he ran with the Funny was 1.69 in practice, I am not sure about MPH. He ran 79 against me in the finals, he may have gone 80 or 81 in practice.
