hi i have a rtr associated rc10t3 truck it is electric i already have a f1 pro reverse speed control with no motor limit, and currently i have a 9 turn spped gem butstill want more speed. Any suggestions on motors, i want the best.
Also my friend told me that if i hooked up 2 batteries to the car at once it would be faster is this true and can i do this without damaging the car.
I recently had a problem with the car i lifted it up and gave it gas, and only the right tire spun, i took the car apart and figured it was one of the gears in the gearbox, i thought it was the gearbox if you know anything about this problem please get back to me.

more cells will make it faster but i very much doubt it if your esc will take it.you'll end up frying it!!if you want to go faster buy a hand wound motor like a trinity cobalt,d6 or reedy ti series ect.the lower the turns the faster but you could also go up in gear ratio that you are running with that motor just don't overheat it. increase your pinion by 1 or 2 teeth tops at a time or lower your spur & you'll get more speed just make sure your motor is not so hot that you can't touch it!!as for your one wheel spin sound like your diff is loose, go to rc10.com & download the manual for the t3 & it will tell how to do everything but to tighten it remove the right rear drive shaft (cvd or dog bone) & you will see a 5/64 hd allen screw turn all the way in until it stops but not to hard!! then back it off 1/8 of a turn no more no less & it should be fine if you spin the rear wheel in different directions & it feel like sand paper you will need to rebuild the diff see the manual for more help or the ae web site at rc10.com good luck

The number of turns isn't always related to it's speed, generally modifieds of any turn will produce roughly the same top speed but different low and top end power based on the number of turns and wind.
If the kit came with a motor then when using other motors including stock the kit supplied spur/pinion will not work with them. Pinion is too large and sometimes spur is too small to allow rpmish type motors to reach their power.
Finding the gearing (pinion/spur) is key to seeing gains in speeds start with the suggested gearing either from Associated or Trinity going up or down on pinion until you acheive the right combination of speed and runtime. Also using proper maintenance and setup is another. Change brushes if they show wear, for bashing use brushes with low silver content to reduce wear. Spring tension is another area often overlooked and mislead. Springs should provide proper tension to reduce arcing and brush bounce generally a purple/red or 2 purples are used in motors in that turn range. Unless you are experienced stay away from altering the motor timing (if endbell is adjustable).
I use mostly one or two brands of brushes for bashing and competitive racing.
The Reedy 760 Laydown, 732 standup are good for power and less wear.
While the diff may seem like the likely problem, I've also seen where the slipper was worn or one wheel nut was overtighten for both wheels not turning. So if after adjusting or rebuilding diff doesn't work then check those areas. Depending on how many times the vehicle has been run most of the tranny and diff parts can be refurbished. Clean the bearing with motor spray, relube using 3 in 1 oil, diff rings can be sanded (using 200-400 grit sandpaper) follow a figure 8 sanding both sides of diff rings, slipper pad can be scraped using the flat edge of an Exacto knife. Only diff balls may need to be replaced.

I had a reedy 10 turn double in mine, hand wound. If you want to go faster than that You NEED a LOT of room! Just a heads up. Also what tires are you using and on what surface? If its on paved surfaces, you can get foams for that truck ;) Often peple overlook tires
