Im trying to remove some meats from my 1/8 buggy, ironicaly because they wont stay glued in some areas. The other areas wont budge! I'm using de-bonder and I boiled them (usualy works realy well) and now they are in the freezer. I have new dishes but not enough money for more tires.

Well, nothing left to try except to bake them. :D I preheat the oven to 350, turn it off and put them in on a cookie sheet. leave them till the oven is cooled off. They should come right off.

You can try soaking them in acetone - just enough acetone to submerge one side - 6 -8 hrs is usually enough. It will trash the liners however. Then you have to repeat to get the other side off.
Be careful about the fumes - can put in a covered bucket with a tight lid thats prob safest. Doesn't seem to hurt the plastic. Has been in RC Driver.

Yeah pick up a litre of acetone at a hardware store, that stuff works awsome! I did some stadium truck tires last week and after soaking for about 10 hours they just peeled right off like nothing. Very easy, make sure they are in a sealed container and use gloves as well.

ha!
I boiled my stadiums wheels so I could swap my son's tires from his Rustler to my xxxt, no problems so far. The buggie's tires won't budge. It's a Lightning Pro, good tires, but the bead channels are too small so I picked up some Ofna's at the LHS since they deeper channels. If I can't debond the tires then I guess they're going back. I'll try acetone and then gas. Might have to call FEMA for this one.....no....they'll take too long, nevermind.

apparently the hot bodies folks used realy realy good glue, I saturated them with de-bonder and put them in the sun. Wallah! It just takes time.
