Cool R/C computer game.

Hey, have you guys heard of a cool R/C racing game called Re-Volt? It is seriously one of the BEST games I've ever seen. it may not be exactly like real R/C-ing (ie - no drivers stand point of view), but it's cool anyway. It really is an awesome game. I totally suggest getting it for your PC (NOT your PSX).

That game is the GREATEST!!! Its eally, really cool. And when you get fustrated at the people your racing, you can shoot them out of your way with different weapons!!! God I miss that game, and wont be able to get it again until I get a new computer (next year)

Yup, It's kinda old, but still great. I modified the game and the cars and stuff, you can adjust toe in and spring stiffness or whatever you want. You can even make your own paint job!

What kind of system do you have, Throtl Hapie? I have it for my N64, and it's a great game. But I can't adjust stifness in the suspension, or change paint jobs. I just use a cheat that lets me have all the cars and tracks. I don't think that the N64 version has as many cars as what the Sega Dreamcast does, though.

I have it for N64. But I have played it for Computer too. It is a lot better om Computer. I dont have it though for computer. I wish the N64 was like the PC game.

Re-Volt is only as cool as I say on the PC, because the customizability is almost endless. Check out the links above and you'll see what I mean. You can make new tracks, change hundreds of settings on your car, make new paintjobs and even whole new cars with custom models, etc. It's biggest plus is its ease of customization, tied with its awesome graphics and physics. As R/C hobbyists, you MUST check it out. BTW, one year isn't old if you ask me, especially when new stuff for it is available for download (or your own creation) every day.

Yup, PC is the way to go, I don't buy that sissy Pokemon-system you call N64. The game doesn't allow you to modify cars itself, you have to edit the car files. I adjusted the top speed on the Dust Mite to 85MPH just for fun. That was fun!

The 4 wheeled panda bear is also fun!

I have played revolt for n64 and it was pritty cool, but I like Team Losi RC Racer for playstation even more, I got my xx4 so can realy kick the compotition.

Wow, those were some good games, but guess what? You could also play them on your computer, for free! Re-Volt is for the computer anyway, so that doesn't count. All you need is an emulator and you can play anything from TG16 games to dreamcast and then some. Need I remind you that games like Half-Life, Quake2, Unreal Tornament, Star Craft, AOE2, Dues Ex, Motor Cross Madness, Heavy Metal: FAKK2, Opposing Force, MW2, Heavy Gear 2, GTA 1 and 2 and countless other fantastic games are on the computer and not on your sissy Donkey Kong/Pokemon system (altough some were ported, and ported horribly they were) you call N64. Ooh, look at me! I'm playing Golden Eye with 3 friends on my N64! Ooh, I can't even JUMP in the game, ooh!! OOOhh what! Go play Half-Life with 31 people and see what it should be like.

I never said OTHER systems DIDN'T have good games, I'M saying, quit lookin at all the stinkin bad things in a game, and look at the good things. Oh, I'm not gonna buy Goldeneye because you can't jump, boo, hoo, hoo. Is that what makes games geat, you can push one little button and make them jump in the air?? Oh, man. I was WWWAAAAYYYY off. The whole time I thought you bought games because they were FUN!! Stupid me, I should have known better. You can't tell me 1 system doesn't have bad games. Every system does, and yes, that includes you beloved computer. And EVERY game has downfalls, no matter if it's your Half-Life game, or Goldeneye because you can't jump. I'm not into computer games, so I don't know anything about "Half-Life" game. So I'm not gonna say anything about IT, and in Quake you go around blowin' the crap out of everything you see, like in......GOLDENEYE, (OR Winback for that matter.). And as for downloading N64 games off the internet, sure lots of people do it, but I have one word for ya, ILLEGAL. For us people who go by the law, and don't want to pay a huge fine, we go out and BUY the system and the game from the STORE, can you say STORE??? And don't gripe and whine and complain about N64 being a Donkey Kong/Pokemon system. Like I said, AGAIN, Pokemon wasn't even thought of. And like I said, AGAIN, I HATE pokemon. Would you like me to spell that out for you?? Don't worry, the new Nintendo system will kick the pants off of the computer as far as playing games. And also, I hate to bust your little bubble, but it WILL be internet compadible, so then I won't have to play a game with only 3 of my friends, heck, I'll get the whole TOWN to play, and yes, my town has a HECK of a lot more people than 31!! And sooner or later, you'll have to admit that there IS a system better than a computer. Then, to make it easier, you go and buy a controller to play the games on your computer, well pal, why don't you just go and by something that just isn't a wannabe system, cuz' the only difference from playing on the computer w/a controller and playing an actual system is that your looking at a stinkin computer screen instead of a T.V. screen. Second off, about the jump thing, Golden Hair er, Eye, is a FPS, meaning you need to be able to move very fast and out manuver your opponents. Jumping helps you do this, and Golden Eye doesn't even have a simple feature like that, and that is horrid and inexcusable for a FPS. Illegal?! Ha! Never heard of it. Yout think the songs you get off napster are legal? Like I said before, go back to playing donkey kong and pokemon on your nintendo, I think in the mean time i'll go find a person across the globe to play a friendly game of DEATHMATCH with.
You were right about computers not being consoles, they are better then that. Oooh, the next Nintendo will be internet playable! That means you have to pay for a service ONLY provided by Nintendo, that means 56k snail connections, that means unreliable and slow.

Does the game come with features like adjustable stuff, or do you have to get programs off of the internet and whatnot to do those things? I went to the sight posted,(RVCC) and the cars posted there, will they work in the game if I download them? I just want to know because I am not very good with changing game files or programming things.

Robert, yes this game is SO VERY CUSTOMIZABLE, and it's mostly easy once you get the hang of it. Once you learn the easy rules for tracks and cars, adding newly downloaded stuff is easy as pie. Every car is organized by a simple text file (parameters.txt) that can be adjusted using a simple notepad program you already have. You can repaint cars with any graphic program you like. If you want to delve into 3D model design, there IS a free program on the internet for it, but that stuff is VERY complicated. I highly suggest you check it out. Hey, you can even try the demo; download it <a href="http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_MAIN.Entry17c?SP=10007&PN=5&CID=0&SID=19921&PID=165113">here</a>. It's about 25 MB, but VERY worth it!! Try it!
